So here it is, first samples in bottle arrived in London, along with a bottle of ‘vin de presse’ which has been described as ‘wonderfully quaffable’
Very exciting to taste the first ever vintage of the ‘Eminence Grise’ 2011, from barrel in the ‘cave’ just behind the house (due to be bottled in late autumn). Early days but shows great promise..!
Was very sorry to have missed going down for the recent ‘vendange’, the 2012, just last Saturday 20th.
Staying with friend Fiona Beeston at Clos des Capucins - the view of the old town, the Chateau and the River Vienne is just spectacular. In fact was tempted with an early morning swim..!
